Tourjée Alumni Award
The Tourjée Alumni Award was established in 1985 by the NEC Alumni Council, “to encourage graduate study at the alma mater, thus refining talent to its highest potential.”
This special monetary prize towards first-year tuition is given to a graduating student or an NEC alumnus/a who plans to pursue further graduate work at NEC. The award is based on outstanding musicianship, scholarship, and enterprise, as well as upon high potential for success in graduate study and in the music field. The award is based solely on merit and not upon financial need.
If you are an NEC alumnus/a pursuing further graduate work at NEC and wish to apply for the Tourjée Alumni Award, you may download the 2009 application when it becomes available. (You may view the 2008 application here.)
The application deadline for the Tourjée Alumni Award is reset each year (usually in mid-March) to avoid conflicting with the College's Spring break. Please check back later for the specific date or contact Gabe Bolio, Assistant Director of Alumni Relations with any questions.
