GENERAL APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS New England Conservatory is one of eight schools participating in the Unified Application for Music and Performing Arts Schools. Please use this online application, available at www.unifiedapps.org, to apply for both admission and scholarship/financial aid. Spring 2009 applications are due on November 1. We are accepting spring applications for all degrees and majors except for bassoon and freshman jazz drums. Please note that we do not accept spring applications for the Artist Diploma, D.M.A., or chamber music programs. Fall 2009 applications are due on December 1. We will be accepting fall applications for all majors. Required Supporting Materials: The following supporting materials are required of all applicants. Items that are starred (*) are submitted via our online application; all other items should be postmarked by December 1. Standardized test scores (SAT/ACT/GRE) are not required for any applicants. All instrumental and vocal applicants must perform an audition. Applicants to composition, music theory and musicology must submit appropriate materials for review. Please visit the Audition for NEC pages for information about these requirements.
