Musicology Audition Requirements
Demonstrate, through previously completed papers and research, knowledge of the history of music and related fields, as well as research skills. Applicants must be reasonably competent on their instruments but need not perform at concert caliber since studio instruction is a minor. Musicology applicants must submit at least two writing samples, one of which should be a research paper of at least 5 pages in length. A diagnostic history exam is part of the application process.
