How-To Guide
This is for new students in the NEC Continuing Education Program.
Here you will read information about:

As a new student to the NEC Continuing Education program, you will enter a placement process that accompanies registration for any classes that are performance-based. These classes include chamber ensembles, choirs, lessons, and jazz ensembles. To schedule a placement for the upcoming semester, please contact the office to find a schedule. If it is past the registration date and you are still interested in a class, please contact us at the office and we will put you in direct contact with the teacher of your desired course. Our office number is (617) 585-1130.
After you have spoken with a teacher and have permission to be placed in their class, you will need to fill out a registration form.

If you are applying for financial aid, please complete the online financial aid form and send it c/o Dr. Erik Gregory, NEC School of Continuing Education, 290 Huntington Avenue, Boston MA 02115.
When the registration form is completed with accompanying required signatures and payment, please submit your materials to the Continuing Education Office.
Once you are officially registered, we will make an identification card for you. This card allows you into NEC buildings and can also be set up for library access.

After you have turned in a registration, if you would like to add or drop a class, please stop by the office to acquire an “Add/Drop” sheet.

Monday through Thursday 9am to 7pm
Friday 9am to 5pm
Saturday 9am to 3pm
