NEC School of
Continuing Education

Welcome to the NEC Family

NEC’s School of Continuing Education provides an opportunity to share the rich resources of musical education at NEC with you. It is an opportunity to welcome the lifelong learner, the serious amateur, or the music lover into our family of music.

NEC School of Continuing Education makes the resources of one of the world’s leading music institutions available to everyone. No matter what your musical background — professionally trained musician or enthusiastic amateur — the NEC School of Continuing Education can offer you lessons, courses, ensembles, or integrated full-time programs that will meet your educational needs.

We offer students individual lessons, ensemble opportunities, and courses that help expand and deepen your understanding of music history and performance. Some of our courses are being added to an online environment which provides you with an opportunity to join from the comfort of your home (courses designated with a computer icon provide this option).

Our courses and ensembles meet on weekday evenings and Saturdays. Private lessons can be scheduled to best meet your schedule. And we are easily accessible by the T (Symphony, Green Line “E”, and Massachusetts Avenue stop on the Orange Line).

I welcome you to join us at NEC’s School of Continuing Education and to engage in pursuing your passion for music.

Sincerely,

Erik M. Gregory, PhD
