Student Financial Aid

Goal:$43 million

Talent is impossible to predict. It can come from anywhere, and it has no relation to a student’s ability to pay for an expensive education. Each year thousands of young musicians apply for admission to NEC; 90 percent need significant financial aid. For many of these students, the scholarship and loan package offered will determine where they attend.

By increasing NEC’s long-term financial resources, the Campaign will ensure that NEC remains competitive with other better-endowed schools, enabling many talented young people to attend their school of first choice—New England Conservatory. These exceptional students are well worth the investment. They bring both talent and discipline to their work and, in the coming decades, will take their place among the leaders in musical performance and education.
