Preparatory School offices are open Tuesday-Friday 9-5 and Saturday 8-4 during the school year. During the summer, all NEC offices are open Monday-Thursday 9-5 and Friday 9-12:30.
All members of the Prep School staff make every effort to be as responsive as possible to phone calls and email inquiries. It is very helpful to the office staff if you contact the person directly responsible for the specific aspect of the program with which you are requesting assistance (please see guide below). If you are not sure whom to contact, please contact the main prep number, 617.585.1130 or email prep@newenglandconservatory.edu. We will make every effort to respond in a timely fashion and direct your request to the person best able to assist you.

Who to Contact
For all general questions, including how to sign up for auditions, the registration process/schedule, teacher
placement, requests for scholarship applications, catalogs, etc., please contact prep@newenglandconservatory.edu.
For questions about large ensemble auditions, end of year student recitals, concert and rehearsal schedules, absences, etc., please contact Rebecca Bogers, Concert/Ensemble Manager.
For questions about schedules for workshop rehearsals, Saturday recitals, evaluations, chamber music festivals, etc., please contact Corey King, Assistant to the Prep Director.
For questions about the certificate program, evaluation comments, scholarship award decisions, and concerns about ensemble placement, please contact Elisabeth Christensen, Director, Preparatory School.
Contact Preparatory School Faculty
If you are trying to contact a particular faculty member, please call the Preparatory School office at
617.585.1130, and we will provide you with any available contact information. If you need to relay a
message to your child’s teacher on a Saturday you may call the Preparatory School Field Office at
617.585.1132. Preparatory School faculty do not have their own offices or phones at NEC, but the office
staff will do their best to relay the message (sometimes, due to the high level of activity on Saturdays, we
are only able to put the message in the faculty member’s mailbox).
Contact Preparatory School Department Chairs
Faculty Department Chairs are responsible for placing students with private instructors within their
department, and oversee workshops, recitals, and spring evaluations. Faculty department chairs do not
have offices at NEC, but may be contacted through their Web site biographies, or by contacting the Preparatory School office:
