Violin PerformanceDavid Franco has served as music producer/ supervisor for well over 150 feature films and TV movies, series, and miniseries, including "Dallas" and "Knots Landing." He has also produced and/or supervised more than 50 soundtrack albums. Franco has worked with such well-known producers and directors as Oliver Stone, Steven Spielberg, Wes Craven, and Ted Turner. Franco was music supervisor on Into the Wild (Paramount), directed by Sean Penn, which received 2007 Golden Globe nominations for best score and best song. 2008 projects for Franco include The Prince of Cool, based on the life story of jazz trumpeter/vocalist Chet Baker; another of Wilbur Smith's epic African adventure stories, When the Lion Feeds; and a thriller by Stephen King. In addition to his vast experience in music production around the world, Franco works closely with acclaimed and up-and-coming film composers, recording artists, managers, agents, music publishers, and record labels, as well as world-renowned orchestras and recording studios. As a professional musician/arranger, Franco started his career working as Director of Production for such multinational record labels as Columbia, RCA, and Warner-Elektra-Atlantic, International Division.
