Cello Performance
John Hsu is a leading expert in performance practice for Baroque string instruments, and is widely recognized for his work as a conductor, editor, writer, and player of the viola da gamba, baryton, and cello. In 2000, he was awarded the Chevalier de L'Ordre des Arts et des Lettres by the government of France in recognition of his "life-long commitment to French music as it was heard three centuries ago."
