Composition
Chair of NEC's composition department, Lee Hyla has been honored with prestigious grants, fellowships, and commissions over the course of his career. His recent work includes a commission from the Japan Society of New York for the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center, a chamber setting of John Ashbery's poetry for the Guggenheim Museum's Works and Process Series, and a piano trio for Triple Helix.
