Alumni Profile: Hankus Netsky '76, '78 M.M.

Introduced by his family to the traditions of Jewish dance music, Hankus Netsky has continued to explore the genre, performing on accordion and creating the Klezmer Conservatory Band, a staple on the Jewish music scene for more than 20 years. Since 1981, NEC students have had the opportunity to discover Eastern European music through NEC’s Contemporary Improvisation department and the ensembles that Netsky continues to lead.
