Kenneth Schermerhorn

Trumpet Performance

Kenneth Schermerhorn led the Nashville Symphony to prominence on the national and international stage during a remarkable 22-year tenure that ended with his death in 2005. A seasoned conductor who also had extended tenures leading the American Ballet Theater orchestra, the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra, and the New Jersey Symphony, Schermerhorn has pushed Nashville towards new heights. Under his direction, the symphony made its Carnegie Hall debut and began recording on the Naxos label.
