Avant-garde pianist and MacArthur “genius grant” winner, Cecil Taylor has been deemed “ahead of his time.” Known for his dense compositions and unique improvisational style, Taylor has recorded nearly 100 albums as a soloist and leader, and has held teaching positions and residencies at universities across the U.S.
