NYC Club Event
Informal gathering hosted by the NEC in NYC Alumni Committee
at the home of Jack Hornor '53, '55, '57. Featuring a performance and discussion by Jessica Ryder '75, voice. A note from Ms. Ryder:

Dear Fellow NEC-ers,

When people find out I left a career singing principle opera roles on international stages (like La Scala) they often assume that something must have gone 'wrong' somewhere...  This makes me smile inside, because my experience is that something went so profoundly 'right’ that I'm at a loss to describe how good it feels!

Don't get me wrong.  I LOVED singing opera!!   But these days singing is even more joy than ever.  I have the feeling of having found my own voice, and in more than the literal sense.  The music I make isn't exactly 'classical,' 'folk' or 'jazz'.......  It's just me.  Seems like NEC was the gateway to a treasure trove I'm still only beginning to explore.

I hope you'll join me at Jack and Cathy's lovely home, on the 26th.  I'd love to share some of my music and experiences with you, over a glass of wine or a cup of tea.

Jessica Ryder '73 '75 M.M. (formerly Beverly Morgan)
