NEC Alumni

Welcome to the NEC Alumni Association Website!

Alumni are one of our most valued resources and you play a very important role in the life of NEC. As an NEC alumna/us, you are part of a community that includes more than 12,000 people in various careers and life-stages. With the many competing demands on your time, we know that is not always possible to get back to NEC for concerts, workshops or special events - so we hope that you will utilize this website as a means of staying connected with NEC and becoming involved virtually with the Alumni Association.

The Alumni Association is here to serve you through offering a variety of programs and services for NEC alumni around the globe. Through the On-Line Directory, you can keep in touch with NEC friends and update your current personal information. With Career Services’ new employment program BRIDGE, you can access information on employment opportunities, post a job opening and network with other alumni in various professions. By listing your personal website on the NEC alumni page you can promote upcoming concerts and projects. The Calendar of Alumni Events and Regional Clubs pages provide opportunities to connect with other alumni both on campus and in your own region. NEC Update, the NEC e-newsletter, is available to you as a free subscription, and brings you the latest news as it happens. NOTES magazine, containing NEC news and stories as well as alumni class notes, is mailed to alumni free of charge. The NEC Alumni ID Card entitles you to benefits and privileges such as discounts on musical instrument insurance, car rentals and NEC library privileges. In addition, the Alumni Office staff is always available to answer your questions and keep you connected.

In return, we ask that you assist the Alumni Office in maintaining accurate records by informing us of your address changes and share with us your current professional affiliations and employment. We love to share information on the outstanding work of our alumni, regardless of your chosen profession. Listing NEC in your bio reflects the pride you have in your musical education and helps to promote the school to those who are impressed with your accomplishments. Encouraging talented students to attend NEC furthers the efforts of our admissions staff in recruitment of new students. Volunteers are always needed to help plan regional events, participate as institutional leaders, work on alumni committees, or to share your expertise on a career panel. As a partner in NEC’s future, we also hope that you will make a gift to the Annual Fund to ensure that others can take advantage of NEC’s exceptional music education.

We are here to celebrate the work of alumni in all professions and to continue the legacy of excellence in musical education at NEC. We do look forward to your involvement in the NEC community. Your questions and feedback are always welcome.

Best Regards,

Director's Welcome

Director of Alumni Relations
