Singer's Forum Founding Director and 2004 Outstanding Alumni Award Recipient, Andy Anselmo '49, '51 M.M.

On October 4, 2008, Singer’s Forum Founding Director Andy Anselmo ’49, ’51 M.M. was honored with a Lifetime Achievement Award at Lincoln Center from the The Licia Albanese-Puccini Foundation. The Singer’s Forum, Inc. is a training center for the vocal arts that combines training in the bel canto method with performance training in various singing styles. Two of Andy’s students currently performing on Broadway are Mandy Patinkin in Shakespeare’s, The Tempest and TV’s David Rasche in the new musical To Be or Not To Be. Andy was a recipient of NEC's Outstanding Alumni Award in 2004. He splits his time between Buffalo and New York, NY. 10/16/08

Robert Willoughby ’49 M.M. received the 2008 George Seaman Excellence in the Art of Teaching award from Longy School of Music. (In photo: Longy President Karen Zorn with Willoughby.) He has been a member of the Longy faculty since 1997, prior to which he was a faculty member of the Oberlin Conservatory for 40 years and the Peabody Institute for 10 years. He currently lives in New Castle, N.H. 8/21/08
