Vocalist Kimberly de Acha ’72 M.M. performed with the New Bedford Symphony Orchestra in February of 2008. She was the narrator for a piece by Stephen Paulus called Voices From the Gallery. Kimberly has performed this piece with Orchestra Miami. She also performed with composer Philip Glass in Miami. 8/21/08 |

Stanton Davis ’72 was the honored guest of the Harlem Speaks series of the National Jazz Museum in Harlem in May of 2007. He gave a talk about his career as a jazz trumpet player and flugelhornist from New Orleans who has been an active performer in Boston and New York. Davis performs in the film Half Nelson, and one of his compositions has been used as the title track. He has worked with artists as diverse as George Russell, Mongo Santamaria, Lionel Hampton, Charlie Haden, Max Roach, Al Cooper, and Stevie Wonder. He has also worked as a freelance musician and has played in a number of pit orchestras for television specials. He will soon travel to Dubai for a performance with Andre de Shields. Since graduating, organist Hope A. Kunkel '72 DP has used her music to be a part of many church groups, including the Arndt Lutheran Church. She also worked for the Light House Workshop for the blind, as well as the Good Shepherd Workshop and has spent much of her time volunteering in hospitals. She has been a member of the American Guild of Organists since 1970. Kunkel is a member of the Blind Bowling League and the US Golf Association and still manages to play occasionally at her home church, St. Thomas United Church of Christ, Bethlehem. 3/14/07 |

Eric Culver ’72, ’77 M.M. conducted Harvard’s Brahms Society Orchestra at Sanders theatre in July 2006. They performed Beethoven’s “Emperor” Piano Concerto and Shostakovich’s 10th Symphony. 7/3/07 |
