Dr. Robert Amchin, Ph.D. ’81, ’86 M.M. was received the university-wide award of Distinguished Teaching Professor from the University of Louisville. He was one of five professors from the university given this award in 2007. He is full professor of music educations and head of the division of music education and therapy at the University of Louisville School of Music. He recently was a clinician of Orff Schulwerk pedagogy in the city of Chelyabinsk, Russia. 1/13/08 |

Jamie Baum ’81 and Roberta Piket ’88 performed at the Jazz With Altitude series at the Rubin Museum of Art, a museum that presents Himalayan art. Jamie and Roberta have been collaborating for fifteen years, and have recently returned from a tour in Europe. 1/13/08 |

Dr. Robert Amchin, Ph.D. ’81, ’86 M.M. was recently awarded an Honorary Lifetime Membership to the Kentucky Orff Schulwerk Association for his work in the Kentucky and the National AOSA. Robert is currently the head of the division of music education and therapy at the School of Music at the University of Louisville, KY. 7/3/07 |

Lisa Taylor Honig ’81 has launched a website for working musicians, www.musician2go.com. She has designed this resource to cater to musicians’ needs, and the site allows members to display their resume, contact information, and to search for other musicians’ information and create store lists that may be accessed at any time. The site is also designed to give contractors a resource that allows them find out more about musicians in their area. 7/3/07

Eliane Lust ’81 performed in a 2-piano concert with American pianist and composer Frederic Rzewski. She also continues to perform throughout the US, Europe, and Asia as a soloist. She has recently been described by France’s La Depeche as “a true artist whose first language is music,” and she is recipient of the California Arts Council Innovative Programming Award. Eliane is based in San Francisco, where she holds monthly masterclasses for professionals. 7/3/07 |
