Tanya Blaich, who made her concerto debut with the Washington-Idaho Symphony at age 15, has performed throughout the United States and Europe with both singers and instrumentalists. Her most recent appearances include recitals in Alice Tully Hall, Jordan Hall and the Banff Centre for the Arts, as well as concerts in Austria, Germany, Spain, Italy, Greece, Poland and France. In addition, Blaich has been heard on WGBH, Austrian National Radio and the WCRB Radio Performance Series. For the past 3 years, she has taught for the collaborative piano and voice departments at NEC as a Teaching Fellow. During her time in Vienna, Blaich coached and accompanied for Kammersaengerin Hilde Roessel-Majdan's voice studio at the Goethe Conservatory and coached voice students at the Performing Arts Studio Vienna. She attended the Sorbonne in Paris and graduated from Walla Walla College with high honors, studying humanities, French and music. After earning her diploma with distinction from the Vienna Conservatory in vocal accompaniment and chamber music, Blaich completed both her M.M. and D.M.A. from NEC.
