James Buswell
James Buswell has enjoyed a major solo career for the past 40 years, performing with nearly all of the major orchestras in North America, as well as many in Europe, Asia, and South America. He has also performed in more than one thousand chamber music recitals throughout the world. As a recording and film artist he has specialized in the music of J.S. Bach and in 20th-century masterpieces. Most recently his recordings of the Piston and Barber violin concerti have been released on the Naxos label. Buswell gives regular masterclasses in many countries, but his principal teaching post is at New England Conservatory in Boston where he resides with his wife, cellist Carol Ou.
