Katherine Desjardins

Katherine Desjardins has taught painting and drawing in Florence, Italy and at Brown University. Recent teaching includes visiting artist/faculty positions at The School of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, Tufts University, Massachusetts College of Art, Wheelock College, among others. She is an active professional artist and exhibits her work extensively in the U.S. and in Italy. A recent recipient of the Bershire-Taconic Artists Trust Award, she was a Visiting Artist at the American Academy in Rome in the fall, 2004. Her monumental wall drawing entitled "What To Do About Interruptions" was featured in "Pretty Sweet: The Sentimental Image in Contemporary Art", at the DeCordova Museum and Sculpture Park in Lincoln, Mass. through April 2005. Her work is included in the Boston Drawing Project at the Bernard Toale Gallery, Boston, Mass.
