Freddy Guerra (1924–2003)
Popular Music

 

Freddy Guerra was a member of NEC’s Popular Music faculty in the late 1950s. As a recent draftee in 1942, he became the youngest member of Glenn Miller’s Army Air Force Band, and toured American airbases throughout WWII. He later led his own orchestra at the Totem Pole Ballroom in Newton, Mass., and at Balsams Resort in Dixville Notch, N.H.
