Louise Langford (Came) Pappoutsakis (1914–2003)
Harp

Pappoutsakis was an NEC alumna (class of 1937) who studied with Boston Symphony Orchestra principal harp Bernard Zighera, at first in private lessons, later at NEC after two years at the Paris Conservatory under Marcel Tournier. Hired by the BSO in 1937 as the first woman to play for the symphony, she later taught at NEC alongside her former teacher. She was married to BSO flutist James Pappoutsakis.
