SUMMARY:
- Establish and maintain Admissions database policies and procedures through comprehensive knowledge of database system and the corresponding reporting templates and software. Serve as System Administrator for the Admissions Office with the Information Technology Services Department.
- Responsible for enhancing technology systems and training staff as needed. Attend training seminars/conferences to keep abreast of the latest software developments.
- Assure validity, integrity and consistency of data by supervising the processing of all inquiries, applications and other admissions related materials. Direct operation of SCT PowerCampus data entry and report writing.
- Serve as principal coordinator of NEC online application. Regularly communicate with STL Solutions to edit/and or correct the application. Work closely with ITS staff in creating and implementing data integration program.
- Respond to all requests for information from the database. Prepare reports for all required surveys, distribute all individual documents to the Admissions Counselors for live auditions and assist the Director with enrollment analysis.
- Manage and monitor candidate files, primarily DMA and AD applicants. Work with applicant pool throughout process from material submission, to audition, to decision, and enrollment.
- Responsible for creating and maintaining database records and audition schedules of applicants. Evaluate files to determine complete or incomplete status and provide missing document information to applicants.
- Prepare information for DMA meetings, Artist Diploma Committee, and Director of International Student Services.
- Create, edit and prepare mailings for all inquiries and applicants.
- Maintain Admissions pages of NEC website.
- Oversee work study students including training, scheduling and day-to-day management.
- Represent NEC at national college recruitment fairs, high school and festival visits, and to group tours visiting campus.
- Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor Degree and a minimum of 1-3 years of experience required.
- 1-3 years experience with integrated computer systems such as Datatel Colleague, ABT PowerCampus, People Soft Banner, etc.
- Experience with MS Office or other PC software.
- Statistical report writing ability required. Knowledge of Access and/or Crystal Reports preferred.
- Excellent written, oral and interpersonal communication and organizational skills.
- Demonstrated initiative and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Demonstrated ability to work under time constraints accurately and efficiently.
- Flexibility and ability to handle multiple, simultaneous tasks.
- Ability and willingness to work with a wide-range of constituencies.
- Ability to work evenings and weekends as required.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Employee must be able to relate to other people beyond giving and receiving instructions: works well with co-workers or peers without exhibiting behavioral extremes; perform work activities requiring negotiating, instructing, supervising, persuading or speaking with others; and respond appropriately to criticism from a supervisor.
