Under the Auspices of the PO Department, NEC students performed approximately 250 programs in community settings during the 2005-2006 academic year. In addition, several students participated weekly in projects at an after-school program, pre-school and senior center; this accounts for an additional 50 site visits. The combination of community performances and ongoing community projects brings the total number of Performance Outreach events to approximately 300.
Approximately 185 NEC students participated in the program during the 2005-2006 academic year.
NEC reached approximately 15,400 people through the Performance Outreach program during the 2005-2006 school year. Over 7000 public school children and approximately 8000 public/adult audience members were reached through these programs.
NEC maintains over 80 partnerships with schools, senior centers, community centers, hospitals, libraries, museums and other historic landmarks.
