Overview
New England Conservatory has a strong commitment to bringing the arts to the Boston community. The Community Performances and Partnerships Program of New England Conservatory was created to link NEC undergraduate and graduate students with our community while also providing students with performance and teaching skills that are integral to a career in music in the 21st century, a central mission of the institution. Performances in this program are interactive and prepare students to be able to communicate effectively with audiences of all ages. Our community partners represent a broad spectrum of organizations, from schools and day-care centers to hospitals and homeless shelters, and our partnership performances take place in locations throughout Boston and the New England region.
