All performances in the Community Performances and Partnerships program are organized and guided through the Performance Outreach Department. Students receive extensive training and feedback through both regular workshops with the Director of Performance Outreach and participation in Music-in-Education classes. In addition, workshops with guest educators and performing artists take place throughout the school year and focus on specific topics such as public speaking and programming for diverse audiences. NEC faculty members also serve as outreach mentors, including the Borromeo String Quartet, Lucy Stoltzman, Vivian Hornik Weilerstein, Paul Katz and Eliot Fisk.
