NEC welcomes everyone who loves the art of singing to join our vocal alumni at "A Celebration of Song" the weekend
of October 22-24. This homecoming weekend includes a cabaret evening plus workshops, panel discussions, and a concert honoring Helen Hodam, who has
taught hundreds of great singers at NEC, including opera stars Denyce Graves '88 DP and Lisa Saffer '84 M.M., '86 A.D. Details of this concert are
now posted on the NEC Web site, along with other programming updates and details.

Make an evening of it at NEC on Wednesday, October 20. At 4:30pm, Nobel Prize-winning economist Amartya Sen, an expert
on world poverty, speaks in the Presidential Lecture Series. Take a break for dinner and come back at 8pm, when Boston Symphony Orchestra assistant
conductor Ludovic Morlot leads the students of the NEC Symphony Orchestra in music by Stravinsky, Haydn, and Shostakovich.
