This course teaches advanced piano students the art of accompanying. For each class, students will be assigned one piece to "rehearse" in front of the class, and will be given another to sight-read. (Instrumentalists and/or singers will be provided). In addition, each student will do a long-term project in which he/she will rehearse independently with a friend or family member throughout the month, in preparation for a coaching and final performance. The class will be taught by Boston-area accompanist and NEC preparatory school piano instructor, Andrew Goodridge. Prerequisite: required audition.
