Kathryn Fields
Voice

Soprano, read music before she read English.  AB cum laude, English literature, University of California at Berkeley; BM Applied Voice, American Conservatory of Music, Chicago.  Further studies with Norman Gulbrandsen (Northwestern University) and Daniel Ferro (The Juilliard School).  Her performance career spanned opera (including Despina, Susanna, Rosina, Musetta, Queen of the Night, among others, as well as several premiers), concert (founder, Ariel Ensemble; oratorio soloist; recitalist), and cabaret (acclaimed Classical Cabaret performed across America including New York's Cornelia Street Cafe and Boston's Upstairs at the Pudding).  Thousands saw her as National Anthem soloist for Nicks and Rangers games at New York's Madison Square Garden.  Master classes at Saint Nicholas Theater, Cornell University, and Olin College, among others.  Current voice faculty at Brown University.
