NEC's Preparatory School allows children to make music a profound part of their lives--almost as soon as they can walk. Ensembles, lessons, and classroom instruction for all ages and levels nurture each student's innate musicality. By the time your child has reached the pre-college level, he or she will have access to serious, professional training from one of the best schools of its kind in the nation.
Continuing Education courses allow working adults to pursue a wide range of musical topics or take on performance study to fit a busy schedule. Courses are open to enthusiastic amateurs as well as professionally trained musicians.
Summer School extends the resources of NEC's academic-year programs to a time of year when it is easier to jump into concentrated, intensive study[, or fill in gaps in your education].
NEC's Preparatory, Continuing Education, and Summer schools feature an exceptional faculty, many of whom also teach NEC's College students (indicated with an asterisk* in faculty roster). Many of the instrumental instructors are Boston Symphony Orchestra members (indicated with a carat^).
